What Is Our Client Looking For?
The firm is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer to oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization and help execute its long-term strategic objectives. Working closely with the Managing Partner and leadership team, this individual will play a central role in driving growth, improving efficiency, and supporting the firm's continued success.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Oversee the firm's day-to-day business operations across multiple departments and offices.
- Partner with firm leadership to develop and execute strategic growth initiatives.
- Lead operational planning, resource allocation, and performance management efforts.
- Evaluate and improve operational workflows, policies, and internal processes.
- Drive technology adoption and operational improvement initiatives across the firm.
- Support practice group leaders in achieving operational and financial objectives.
- Manage financial operations in collaboration with the finance leadership team.
- Monitor key performance indicators and provide reporting to firm leadership.
- Oversee vendor relationships, facilities management, and administrative functions.
- Lead organizational change management initiatives and firm-wide projects.
- Oversee human resources, talent management, recruiting, and employee development initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture aligned with the firm's values and objectives.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- MBA or other advanced Master’s degree is considered an asset.
- 10+ years of progressive operational leadership experience.
- Previous experience within a law firm or professional services environment is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-department operations and organizational growth initiatives.
- Strong understanding of law firm economics, operational management, and business strategy.
- Proven ability to develop and implement scalable processes and operational improvements.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing human resources, administration, and business operations functions.
- Superior interpersonal, leadership, and delegation capabilities to manage multiple departments and juggle priorities.
- Proven ability to build consensus and drive results within a partnership environment.
