What Is Our Client Looking For?

Our client is looking for a Senior Associate in Canadian Tax to join their growing tax practice. The candidate will play a key role supporting the delivery of high-quality tax compliance, advisory, and planning services to a diverse portfolio of clients. 

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Review corporate tax returns, while ensuring accuracy, optimization and compliance with tax rules.
  • Answer questions from audit staff and discuss the technical aspects encountered during a mandate.
  • Review personal income tax returns or assist tax preparers as a tax contact during personal income tax season.
  • Conduct tax research.
  • Draft restructure memoranda in collaboration with Managers, Senior Managers or Partners.
  • Other related tasks as required.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in private practice or business equivalent.
  • Graduate Degree in Taxation or Masters in Tax.
  • Proficiency in appropriate softwares (Microsoft Office Suite, Taxprep, CCH, Taxnet Pro).
  • Bilingual in both English and French (spoken & written).
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian personal, corporate, and trust taxation.
  • Enthusiastic about providing tax solutions and services to clients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a sense of organization and attention to detail.
  • Excellent management of priorities and timelines.
  • Detail oriented professional committed to delivering high quality client service.
