What Is Our Client Looking For?

Our client is seeking an experienced public accounting professional for a Senior Audit Manager role. This individual will play a key leadership role within the firm’s Audit practice, helping drive the continued growth and success of the practice through engagement leadership, client relationship management, and team development.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and review of audit, review, assurance, and compilation engagements, ensuring compliance with professional standards and firm requirements.
  • Provide strategic oversight of engagement teams, ensuring the quality, efficiency, and timely delivery of client engagements.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, serving as a trusted advisor while fostering strong long-term relationships and identifying opportunities to deliver additional value.
  • Support regional growth initiatives by developing business opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and practice development efforts.
  • Collaborate with Partners and leadership teams on engagement planning, resource allocation, and operational priorities across the region.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop Managers, Senior Auditors, and Audit staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Represent the firm within the local business community through networking initiatives, industry events, and professional associations.
  • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives, strategic projects, and organizational objectives while supporting the implementation of regional and national priorities.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Completion of a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • 7 to 10 years of progressive public accounting experience, with a strong focus on audit, review, and assurance engagements.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams within a public accounting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian auditing standards, accounting standards, and assurance engagement requirements.
  • Knowledge of Canadian tax compliance, including corporate and personal tax returns.
  • Bilingual in English and French (spoken & written).
  • Experience in business development, client relationship management, and practice growth initiatives is considered an asset.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business acumen and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
